Dee

Downloaded some new brushes the other day and totally forgot about them. But got around to experimenting with them and, they're pretty decent.

Remember if you'd like to pick up one of my sketches, all of the #Inktober ones are for sale here.

CamJam

Last week it was a pleasure to be invited down to the first session of the CamJam series. 6 artists [including myself] took on the letters of Camden, myself doing the D.

It was a real good day, thoroughly enjoyed it and great to paint alongside the artists, some of whom was my first time.

Inktober Days 22-29

Day 22
Day 23

Day 25

Day 26- Toph Bei Fong

Day 28

Day 29- Metal Face Doom
#Inktober went pretty well but it definitely had its challenges. I got really into it and had a good first couple of weeks, however I definitely found myself feeling it by the 16th. By the 18th I hit a slump, with the loss of a friend and my mind working so much thinking about imagery my mind pretty much turned to an overactive sentinel and thats when the darkness came over. Silence became my worst enemy, being left to my won thoughts, and with jobs to get on with which naturally need sketching for too, I couldn't stop thinking , even in my keep, which proved difficult to sleep.
I guess it comes down to how much you work yourself, and every day I feel I must do something on par or better than the last.

I definitely have my favourites out of them. But to let you all know a selection of these will be sold. How and when will be released very soon, definitely this week.

If you are interested in purchasing, email me with which particular day(s) jebasmind@gmail.com.

Inktober Day 14- Quincey Cassel Williams

A few weeks ago the London creative community lost a dear friend. Quincey Williams is one third of creative brand Stooki, a brand that has been doing great things and been deservingly successful over the last couple of years. Quincey was a friend to myself and to many. In the last few years since I've known him he has been one of the most influential people that I've met. There are very few people that I can say worked so hard, new the meaning of a hard days graft and did everything for his passion. Integrity was a key attribute to him, he would always approach a person or situation with the respect due, he didnt have a bad thing to say about anyone, if he didnt have anything particularly nice to say then he just wouldn't say anything at all and hold his corner.
Quincey was someone I always felt comfortable with talking too about ideas, and he always felt comfortable listening, he'd genuinely be concerned about your well being.
In all without writing a 5 page essay, Quincey was a person you would appreciate in your life because of the genuine god vibes he had. And my gosh he knew how to take up an opportunity. The ONLY person I know to get to a festival on Stevie Wonders guest list!!

Quincey I say thank you for allowing me share conversations with you and walk along side you for the time that we did. Thank you for being an influence and thank you helping me understand a broader picture.
