The last couple days have been damn busy in the blazing sun. Monorex pt a team together for Lovebox to paint the Boxfresh stage at this weekends festival in Victoria park. Working from a sketch devised by VENTSA we had 3 stacks of shipping containers to paint up a large speaker stack system. I have to admit, if I had devised these sketch I would not have considered so many styles of speaker boxes!!! It was brilliant. Out of the team it was myself, Tony Riff, VENTSA (a pleasure to work with again), a great pleasure to finally work with ZADOK, an artist I've admired for a few years), alongside a couple more.
It was 3 days up and down scissor lifts, and scaffolding, hard hats and hi-vis jackets. It was great to work on such a scale yet very challenging, especially trying to produce so many circles as close to perfect as possible. The colour palette was brilliant, and am vey happy with the way styles mixed in and out of each other so well.
It was great to get early access to the site to see the whole production and construction team in progress, a really good insight into what goes on before a festival.
