Art4Peace Paint Jam

So I guess we can say it's the end of summer now, and I have to admit its been a good one. I've been to a few festivals and I went to Tenerife at the end, I may do a post of some eye candy stuff I saw out there.

In collaboration with Talking Peace Festival, Captain Kris organised a paint jam in Shoreditch last night. Including Kris and myself involved were Tony Riff, Tonyboy, Saki & Bitches, Dep, The real Dill and Himbad, it was definitely a great opportunity and a pleasure to paint with these guys.
The them was simple being peace, however for me it was a challenge to communicate my idea of peace in an image, but i'm happy with the results and feedback. A great time and a great message that the organisation is trying to promote.

JEBA X Give Chron's A Slap From Me

I posted up some work a while ago but in case you have missed, I was asked to draw up some stickers for a campaign called Give Chron's A Slap From Me. Coordinated by Matt Strutt, he devised this to raise awareness for Chrons disease. Something that has affected a good friend of mine and my uncle, I was definitely up for doing this. Strutt is collating all stickers into a printed book, and has been successful in getting an impressive number of artists involved.

Next week there will be an event at Rockwell House on September 4th. GET INVOLVED.

Daria

It's been a while!! It has but I'm still at it! But I've got some thing digital here for you, I haven't managed to do anything digital in a while let alone the curves of a woman.
I showed my friend a sneak peak yesterday and she said to me "she's fuller than usual." I like to think I draw a variety of healthy looking women. It's more fun… more curves.

Blackbook Sketches

Recently needing to acquire a new sketchbook, I feel that I should share some nice bits out of my previous, you know reflect and close that chapter of the ongoing progress of Jeba. So here we! Some of the pics you may have seen posted up on Instragram and some you may have seen painted pieces out of them. But you know I always feel that seeing into an artist's blackbook is the real gold. If you ever bump not me on the street, just ask me and I may give you a peek.

I'm off to Bradford today to teach a class of kids. I will be teaching them about aspects of the graffiti culture [that won't get them into trouble], stickers/ slaps, and trying to help them free there mind into illustrating and generally creating imagery that don't get to do in a general art class.

Meeting of Styles

This weekend was Meeting Of Styles in East London. An international graffiti meet up of artists in different locations. A lot of great UK artist's turned up with some great productions pulled out. Not originally on the original roster I got a chance to paint, so once again Riff and Myself tag teamed a wall. I've been waiting to pull this character out for a while but I thin I will have a go at painting him again on a larger scale with a nice background.

JEBAXRIFF @ Rockwell House

Not too long ago myself and Tony Riff unexpectedly ended up painting at the FreshCuts party at Rockwell House. Totally baffled when we turned up we just thought to do a tag team in B&W. A bit of a freestyle for me which I'm never too good at to be honest… Riff just seems to get it down fine!
This weekend is Meeting of Styles UK which I just may end up painting at so keep peeled.
