Yvonne

It's been a pretty eventful weekend with having to partake in 2 paint jams on the same day. This week I start a portrait commission which is a bloody mice change. I like it when the digital paints I do get appreciation and it's an honour to get a commission.

Then I realised that I hadn't posted this one up. I was at Riff's house a while ago and I don't know wether you know or not but I use a Wacom Bamboo. But Riff's flat mate, a good mate of ours both, has an Intuos 4, so whenever I'm around there, why I take that opportunity to go to town on that large surfaced batboy!

Willow Street Jam

The second paint Jam of the weekend, Global Street Art reached out to quite a few artists regarding a new spot they had gotten hold of. Among those who turned up were Captain Kris [who I was painting with only 2 nights before], SEEDS, BRK, SNOE, STERLING, JIVE and others.
Quite a good few hours of painting with n real plan but just to get some good stuff done together.

JEBAXTONY RIFF end of summer

It's safe to say that we're not at the end of summer (although a heatwave has been predicted for October), it's that time when the nights become longer and the morning weather isnt as encouraging. I start worrying when the outside jobs are going to get harder…
Buuut any who myself and Riff are felt it good to at least get one more wall done a couple of weeks ago, so we took on a nice stretch. It's been a good summer for both of us, definitely proud of how much Riff has taken on, and his painting has come a long way, blowing so many minds. A definite pleasure to work alongside this old friend over the years.

Characters, letters, jubbly.

Art4Peace Paint Jam

So I guess we can say it's the end of summer now, and I have to admit its been a good one. I've been to a few festivals and I went to Tenerife at the end, I may do a post of some eye candy stuff I saw out there.

In collaboration with Talking Peace Festival, Captain Kris organised a paint jam in Shoreditch last night. Including Kris and myself involved were Tony Riff, Tonyboy, Saki & Bitches, Dep, The real Dill and Himbad, it was definitely a great opportunity and a pleasure to paint with these guys.
The them was simple being peace, however for me it was a challenge to communicate my idea of peace in an image, but i'm happy with the results and feedback. A great time and a great message that the organisation is trying to promote.
